Syracuse reloading for Big East title run

The Orange, authors of a 34-3 record last season, lost Scoop Jardine and Kris Joseph to graduation. The NBA claimed Dion Waiters and Fab Melo. But Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, in a recent conversation, said he expects his Orange to absorb the departures and remain relevant for the Big East basketball title race. "It's unusual to lose four guys, two first-round picks and two other guys that were senior leaders," Boeheim said. "So it would be more likely to think that we have a lot of work to do. But we played 10 guys last year. So the six guys coming back all played. So that's a good thing."
