Syracuse reloading for Big East title run

08:20 AM ET 10.03 | The countdown is on for Midnight Madness, where at Syracuse it means the chance to check out Dajuan Coleman, Jerami Grant and Trevor Cooney. The Orange, authors of a 34-3 record last season, lost Scoop Jardine and Kris Joseph to graduation. The NBA claimed Dion Waiters and Fab Melo. But Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, in a recent conversation, said he expects his Orange to absorb the departures and remain relevant for the Big East basketball title race. "It's unusual to lose four guys, two first-round picks and two other guys that were senior leaders," Boeheim said. "So it would be more likely to think that we have a lot of work to do. But we played 10 guys last year. So the six guys coming back all played. So that's a good thing."

QUOTE(#7):

If you get the chance, Papa, read Tin Man's "Sports Enlightenment/Buckeye for a Day" blog about his C-bus/tOSU experience 9/21-22. Go to Blogs tab (two doors left of message boards), and then scroll to fan blogs. Look for TM's parachute avatar. It's a good story.

I did and now I am homesick. I call TN home and have for a couple decades, but his eloquent writing and all the OSU traditions reminding me, makes me miss those Saturday's at the 'Shoe. I will be attending, even if it's next year.

GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How Jim Boeheim can get any players to come to Syracuse NY in the middle of nowhere and cold and dreary is beyond comprehension. ....

AAU connections, money and promises of NBA fast-track. Same as Calipari.
