Calipari: Don't compare Noel to Davisq

Into that giant void steps another skinny, 6-foot-10 shot blocker, considered by most to be the top recruit in the Class of 2012, with a raw offensive game and his own signature hair -- this time on top of his head. Many who've seen him play say he's even more adept at swatting shots than Davis. How, then, could Wildcats freshman Nerlens Noel possibly avoid the "Next Anthony Davis" tag? "He shouldn't be compared," said UK coach John Calipari. "Nerlens is still learning. Like, he'll take possessions off. Well, you can't do that."

Yea I dont think this kid ever played the guard position like Davis or can hit medium range jumpers and free throws with regularity. Kentucky will be successful regardless because they dont need this kid to score

I've been saying this all along since the guy isn't as good as Davis. Defensively, Noel is impressive. However, his O doesn't compare to Davis. So the comparisons have to stop. This young man will forge his own identity. But he does need some work on his moves.
