Dany Heatley needs this NHL season

09:54 AM ET 10.03 | When Dany Heatley was traded from the San Jose Sharks to the Minnesota Wild in 2011, the team was thrilled to be acquiring a former, two-time, 50-goal scorer. The thought of having Heatley lead the offensive charge in Minnesota was enough to give up sniper Martin Havlat in what appeared to be a win-win trade for both clubs. But Heatley's first year in Minnesota was not his best. In fact it was the worst of his professional career which left many critics wondering if he can recover to the form that made him a threat every time he took to the ice. With the current lockout in full effect and no end in sight, perhaps there is no player more in need of a new CBA than Heatley so he can have the chance to bounce back to those days when opposing goaltenders feared the former Calder Trophy winner.

So is this article pointing out the bad trade; or the fact that Heatley sucks ?

Maybe a combination of both.

This is the second day in a row that a Flyers thread got pushed to the next page by a late arriving thread. First one on the Finnish goalie prospect (who apparently stunk up the joint last night agains Albany) and now a Giroux thread.

I'm sensing conspiracy at work here.

Something something, and teammates feared riding with him.

No conspiracy, just the prevailing axiom that no one likes orange.

Minn. has a way about bringing the worst out of players. I wanted to see what those 110M fools did this year.

I think you mean nothing rhymes with orange. October is orange month with the leaves and pumpkins but unfortunately, not the Flyers this year.

Cuz you get to cut them come Halloween. It's a repressed hatred you're not fully aware of at this point.
