09:38 PM ET 10.03 | The fifth-ranked Georgia Bulldogs are set to face off No. 6 South Carolina in a big SEC showdown this weekend. While the Bulldogs are in the finishing stages of their preparation for the Gamecocks, they received devastating news that will hurt their offense on Saturday. The Bulldogs' leading receiver, Michael Bennett, will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL at the end of practice on Tuesday. Georgia director of sports medicine Ron Courson announced the news via a press release tonight. The redshirt sophomore will undergo surgery to repair the torn ligament at an unknown date. Bennett is the team's leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He finishes his season with 24 catches for 345 yards and four touchdowns. Bennett's average of 69 yards receiving per game was enough to rank him seventh in the SEC.
