08:08 AM ET 10.04 | Tracy McGrady could be taking his talents to the Chinese Basketball Association. [McGrady] is considering playing in China this season, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. McGrady's preference is to sign with an NBA club -- preferably one that can compete for the championship -- and a source said he will wait to see if he is picked up by such a team before committing to play overseas. McGrady could wait up to four weeks before making his decision, the source said. The Chinese publication, 361 Sport, first reported on Tuesday that McGrady's representatives are in discussions with the club, Qingdao Doublestar. ... The source cautioned, however, that there is no guarantee that the 33-year-old McGrady will decide to play in China.

I wonder if he's gonna learn to speak chinese like Step Marbury did. At this point, I think he could woo the Chinese people. A three here, a dunk there, got'em still think he's high up in the atmosphere.

This is sad . . . .I am a big T-Mac fan. This dude lost the prime of his career in Orlando without Grant Hill. Real sad that inuries have now taken his career. He isn't even 1/4 the player he use to be.

this just shows how great of a player kobe is. put being a homer aside, he has played all the years, all the titles, all the post season games, olympics, world championships, injuries, plays hurt still at the highest levels. how anyone cant appreciate that is beyond me.

Back in the 80's and 90's (and today as well) Quite a few baseball players went over to Nippon League for their retirement, so to speak. So perhaps China will act as retirement tour for NBA.
