08:10 AM ET 10.04 | While some of his Magic teammates sprinted through length-of-the court runs near the end of practice Wednesday, Hedo Turkoglu jogged. Typical for a veteran like Turk to save his legs and energy for the marathon season. ... The Magic expect Turkoglu to provide leadership and ball-handling. But Turk might have somebody nipping at his heels this season. The buzz around the Magic is how impressed everyone is with rookie Maurice Harkless. Harkless has been limited by an offseason surgery for a sports hernia and isn't expected to return until mid-November to officially begin his pro career in the regular season. But coaches have liked what they have seen so far from the athletic, 19-year-old who played at St. John's.

The ball boy should be ready to take Turkoglu's minutes.

Turk is completely washed up and I'd certainly be angered if the Knicks somehow added his bum **** to the team. I, on the other hand do believe our present cast of oldies can still play a good 15 to 20 minutes. Turk is plague wit a big salary and nobody in there right mind will take him with basketball expectations in mind, but on the other hand, to clear cap room, I could see it happening and for those reasons only!

I don't get players like the likes of Turkuglo, they just pay to get paid? Why and how did they lose their passion for the game, doesn't he want to be the best? Win a title?

Turk will happily give those minutes away lol

They're forgetting about the other rookie on the team that was tearing up summerleague like it was one big joke, Andrew Nicholson... The kid can flat out play and he's going to make a bigger impact then Harkless will this year.

QUOTE(#13):

he plays PF so he won't be competing with Turk who plays SF.

Actually he plays both the SF and the PF spot so yeah I'm sure he'll be stealing minutes from Turk no doubt...
