08:12 AM ET 10.04 | Perhaps setting the stage for going down with some fight, Bobby Valentine made his final scheduled local radio appearance of the Red Sox season on Wednesday afternoon. [Valentine] said he was undermined by his coaching staff throughout the season. Asked by Glenn Ordway if he felt the Red Sox' coaching staff and those around him have been loyal to him during the course of the season, Valentine responded, "No." Asked why, Valentine said, "You asked me what I feel. That's what I feel." Ordway then followed up by asking if he felt he was undermined by them, to which Valentine responded "Yes." Asked why, Valentine again said, "[It's] just what I feel." Valentine didn't blame the organization for the picking of his coaches.

WEEI is the flagship radio station for Red Sox broadcasts. As part of the agreement, the manager and some front office people routinely interview on that station. Francona did it when he was here. He was paid to do it. Valentine, was not. Another reason to doubt V-Wraps intelligence.

Just in case getting swept by both the O's and Yanks to end the sesaon was not enough, Bobby just wanted to make sure that the owners understood what a PR nightmare it would be if he continued as manager.

The drama isn't going to end when Valentine gets let go, the Sox have some bad years ahead of them. A lot of their young talent hasn't panned out when given the chance the last two Septembers so this could be a very long off season.
