08:17 AM ET 10.04 | Not far removed from facing Ole Miss, Alabama coach Nick Saban took aim at a trend sweeping across college football. "I think that the way people are going no-huddle right now, that at some point in time, we should look at how fast we allow the game to go in terms of player safety," Saban said on [Wednesday's] SEC teleconference. ... "It's obviously created a tremendous advantage for the offense when teams are scoring 70 points and we're averaging 49.5 points a game. With people that do those kinds of things. More and more people are going to do it. I just think there's got to be some sense of fairness in terms of asking is this what we want football to be?"

Let's slow the game down and make it more like baseball. Fart around a lot between pitches. Step out of the batter's box to delay things.

I got a better idea, don't stop the clock after first downs...then the hurry up offenses won't last as long.

So, Satan says to play all his games in Alabama, and now wants to tell the other team what plays to run and at what tempo. No wonder he thinks he's all that!!!

And to think people thought they were the best team last year, too!!! He couldn't even win his own division!

Gotta love how the interns post the threads, then re-order them. Bammer and ND threads to the top, everybody else to the back of the bus.

He won the only game that mattered. Sorry for your loss.

Saban talking to his child as he is raising them. "Honey, please don't throw your toys on the floor."

Media: "Coach Saban screams at child over minor issue."

That does not stop them from claiming trophies.

Just the earned ones.

He didn't say it was illegal. He just opined that this kind of fast paced football (and let's be honest, the way Alabama plays isn't 'slow') can lead to sloppy football and injuries.

It seems like being hit by Bama's line could be bad for player safety as well...
