08:18 AM ET 10.04 | Though a showdown game looms this Saturday night against No. 9 Notre Dame, University of Miami head coach Al Golden admitted Wednesday that not much had been settled in a number of Hurricanes position battles. The Hurricanes currently have open competition between Ereck Flowers and Seantrel Henderson at right tackle, Tyrone Cornileus and Gionni Paul at weak-side linebacker, Thomas Finnie and Ladarius Gunter at cornerback, and three reserve defensive line positions. "All those guys are still competing at this point, and that'll go right through to [Thursday]," Golden said Wednesday. He noted on Tuesday that Henderson had a better practice than the freshman Flowers.

Isn't Sendrel Henderson the kid who was the #1 HS player a few years ago, whose father wanted to be a Rap star, so he had the kid commit to USC with the expectation he, the father, could break into show business in LA?
As I recall, the kid went to Miami after the Pete Carroll situation blew up at SC and he has been far from the second coming once he met college opposition.
