08:20 AM ET 10.04 | Before heading back to California from the East Coast, Anaheim's Bobby Ryan spent a few hours skating with members of a team close to his heart: The Flyers. [Ryan], born and raised in Cherry Hill, used to love the Flyers. ... Because he has no plans to play overseas during the lockout -- he doesn't want to take anyone's job -- Ryan will travel back to South Jersey to skate with Flyers players again if the lockout prolongs. "I'm going to handle things the way I think things should be handled," he said. "I'm going to continue to skate with the guys ... whether it's coming back here (to South Jersey) for a couple weeks at a time ... I think it's important to stay here (in the United States) and be part of the solution and not just run from it."

You know he wont be too popular with his NHLPA "colleagues" now....

BUT...the players are showing Emperor Bettman that the NHL is NOT the only league in the world to play for...as i stated before i really do hope some NHL players stay overseas.

If enough players get jobs in other leagues and can pay their bills, it makes it easier for the PA to withstand a long lockout. From this point of view, it helps the PA in the long run.
