01:16 PM ET 10.04 | New Orleans Saints fans were irate when news trickled out that suspended former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams was allowed to attend a home game for his new team, the St. Louis Rams, on Sunday. Cries of foul came in waves since many have claimed Williams sold his soul to the devil when he signed a declaration pointing out linebacker Jonathan Vilma as the main culprit in the bounty scandal just mere days before Vilma was set to meet with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

I guess you can ban them from the field but not the stadium.

This sounds like a wrestling angle to me.

Your know the one were a suspended wrestler buys a ticket to the show and can't be stopped from siting in the stands only to jump over the barrier around the ring later and interfere in a match.

I wonder if Goodell will show up to patrol the sidelines to ensure Payton stays in the stands and away from the field?????

Why institute a "total ban" when you're not going to uphold it? Just another reason why Goodell is impotent ... Just ask Mrs. Goodell.

sick of all this crap.....either ban them or not, stop waffling...

October 5, 2012  08:51 AM ET

Unless the League or the team owns the stadium, they can't keep him out as a private citizen, as long as he has a ticket.

THE PBMAA (Paper Bag Manufacturing Association of the Americas) would like to extend a hearty congratulations and "welcome home" to the 1970's New Orleans Saints. We missed ya!
