08:16 AM ET 10.05 | Credit Georgia receiver Tavarres King for coining the term "Gurshall" for the two-headed monster that is Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall. "At first it was just a little thing, but now it's getting big," Gurley said. "I guess everybody knows about it. We just try to come out there and play our game and try to be like nobody else. But it's a cool thing." Marshall acknowledged "Gurshall" has gotten a lot of attention, especially on social media. ... Through five games, the "Gurshall" tandem has accounted for 964 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns -- 536 yards and nine touchdowns by Gurley, 428 yards and five touchdowns by Marshall. And if you're wondering, Walker had 463 yards rushing and five touchdowns in his first five college games back in 1980.

It will be them and Miss State for the SEC championship.

Nice dream and I'd LMAO if it were to materialize.

Extrapolating a freshman player to be as good or better than a player that was an alltime great, is sort of silly.

All teams' fans do it, though, when they have a very good player as a freshman. Once the praise starts, though, the players have to be mature enough to keep it in perspective.

If you have to combine two players stats to compare to one ur better off not comparing.

They have been outstanding though thus far. This weekend will be a true test. The O-line isn't getting enough credit either.

Not only is it silly to compare 2 players to one, it's also silly when you compare what football was like when Hershall played. That was back in the day when running back was king and defenses were desined to stop the run and Hershall still dominated.

The article is not doing that...it is comparing EACH of them to Walker.

Very good point!!!!! Defenses back in Herscel's day were desiged to stop the run. Herscel was great, but my all-time "college" running backs was Bo Jackson and Marcus Dupree!!!!! I just wish that Marcus could have played longer, he was such a treat to watch!!!!!

You should expect a post with some reference to "like clockwork" in the very near future.

This thread sure died out in a hurry!!! Let's make it interesting. I watched USC last night and to be honest with you, they are living on the edge!!!! I see them losing at least two more games, if they continue to play like they did last night.
