NFL to investigate bounty-gate style rhetoric by Titans

03:39 PM ET 10.05 | The NFL has launched a formal investigation to get to the bottom of comments made by Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray, after Gray reportedly told his players to play with reckless abandon and not fret the fear of consequences that might come with such ferocious play. The league has been on a manhunt to eliminate destructive and devastating hits from the game, and after this summer's bounty-gate scandal that manhunt has turned into a full fledged crusade. The NFL also has keen interest in Gray as he formerly coached under Gregg Williams, the anti-christ like figure at the epicenter of the scandal.

LMAO at The League trying to cut down on "hard hits." THAT is what these men are PAID to do!As an NFL defensive player, it is your JOB to knock the living crap out of the ball carrier or blocker.

That's why the offensive players get to wear pads and helmets TOO!

Goodell wants every player on the field to dress the way he does at home.

Agreed. Nothing new here. You can take Cortland Finnegan out of the Titans, but you can't take the goon out of them.

Absolutely! Hey Roger, FYI, it's the hard hitting in this game that MAKES IT FOOTBALL! The players did self-policing for dirty players for a long time and it worked pretty well. You can't force football players to stop playing hard any more than you can force politicians to be honest.

National Touch Football League!! Hey, it could happen!!!!!

Hey did the interns do away with my avatar?

He told the reporters that he told his players he want them to hit oppoenents so hard the opposinng players would have to be carted off. Not Phi Beta Kappa. many coaches tell their players similar things. The problem is he told this to a reporter, which basically is an invitation to Goodell get in his teams's business. Dumb.

Goodell needs to come out of the closet and tell every one his hero was J Edgar Hoozer

Every time i made the Active Users top 5 they would delete my avatar I'd put it back up then they banned me for a couple hours no more bikini pics kinda ironic that a site from a magazine that's best selling copy is a swimsuit issue. Go figure
