03:04 PM ET 10.06 | After watching the situation get out of control, it was only a matter of time before NBA commissioner David Stern attempted to do something about the contagious and outrageous flopping that has watered down the NBA product over the past few years. But while Stern should be given credit for recognizing and attempting to deal with the problem, when he stepped in to take action, he performed exactly like every NBA defender has as of late: Stern flopped.

The first offense will be a warning but after that it starts getting expensive. Second offense is a $5,000 fine, $10,000 for the third, $15,000 for the fourth, $30,000 for the fifth and then possible suspension after that....
yah right.. like that will really help?? these overpaid rich dumba55es drop 25 grand a night at their local strip clubs?? the average NBA players salary is 5.15 million a year.. or roughly $99,000 per week... wtf is a measley 10 or 15 grand to these dudes?? David Stern is a moron.. how bout giving them a technical foul and the other team 2 free throws and posession of the ball?

This should be interesting. At the end of the day, it will still be a judgement call on the part of the referee whether there was a foul or a flop.

That is a good idea to call it a technical or even just un-sportsman-like conduct.
As for your contempt of NBA players; if it makes you feel better, most of them either blow it away on illegitimate children they spawn over the years, or stupid luxury items they can't afford in the long run (the Jordan's and Bird's of the world are few and far between).

Well, to answer your last question first; why pay them more then 100K/year?
Because the market dictates it.
...the beauty of capitalism
For the first question; why would anyone feel better knowing how they squander their riches away?
Thought you'd enjoy the poetic justice.
