04:36 PM ET 10.06 | Weeks after firing manager Manny Acta, the Cleveland Indians have found the man. The Indians will introduce Terry Francona as their new manager at a press conference on Monday. Francona has spnt the last year as an analyst on Baseball Tonight after a tumultuous end to his run as manager of the Boston Red Sox. The Indians themselves are in the midst of turmoil as they couldn't be further from the team they were this time last year. Despite missing the playoffs the last two years, the Indians were in great shape to make the postseason last year before collapsing. They are now employing the help of the man who led the Red Sox away from their epic collapses and tasking him with finally bringing a world championship to Cleveland.

It won't make a bit of difference if they don't upgrade their roster. There's only so much a manager can do.

Out of curiosity, why do you post this nonsense on every thread? Are you under the impression that it's funny, witty, or clever? If so, allow me to be the first to tell you it's not.

I like the hire but I would really like them to get a little more active in free agency and also focus on player development. Their farm system (especially Columbus) could use an infuse of talent, I have a feeling there are going to be some big trades in the off season.
Choo and Perez are most likely gone, why keep them when they are planning on leaving now and who needs a closer when you're not in position to use them!

I would have no problem getting rid of either. Choo has almost guaranteed he will not be back, especially with Boras as his agent. And Perez, who I don't necessarily disagree with, won't keep his mouth shut. A closer on a bad team is pointless.

Yeah Choo won't resign with the Tribe but the question is when do you try to move him? If they move him in the off season they will need to fill spots in right and left. Add that to the hole at third and a lackluster pitching staff and they have tough decisions to make!
