Trent Richardson called out Browns veterans

10:59 AM ET 10.07 | Trent Richardson looks like he's going to be more than a fine running back for the Browns. He also looks like he's going to be a fine leader. A couple of weeks ago, he asked linebacker and respected vet D'Qwell Jackson if he could say a few words to the team. Jackson obliged and Richardson called out some of the veterans for accepting losing. That might not have gone over so well coming from most rookies, but it went over well from Richardson because he has walked the walk. Other players couldn't help but notice the times when Richardson has had to be pulled out of the weight room because trainers worry he might be working too hard. They also admire how Richardson often gains yards on his own, even when his blockers fail him.

Stupid rookie!

Does Cleveland Still Rock, Bros?

Since Trent missed practice earlier this week to attend the birth of his 3rd kid (congrats Trent).

Some of the Vets should pull Trent aside and have a quite word so he doesn't end up like Cromartie.

Yep, they couldn't even get a picture of him because he was in the weight room. But it will take more than inspirational speeches to get the Browns on track.

Wow, how does he do it? "Kudos"

Richardson's talents and work ethics seem similar to Walter Payton's. Sweetness was the heart and soul of the Bears' SB team. R. is someone to build around.

Good for the kid.

October 7, 2012  11:40 AM ET

I hope he keeps at it. If he keeps the kind of work ethic he had at Alabama, the Browns will have one of the best they have had, next to Jim Brown, of course. He's the kind of guy that motivates others to push harder especially in the weight room.

Glad to hear that he's stepping up and leading the team. Nothing changes, however, as long as he's having to gain yards on his own.

He is more like a distraction than an asset. Richardson should keep his mouth shut.

Leroy Kelly was no slouch.

The geographical sex kingpin is Cromartie. Question: Do they have an intrastate compact for child support? Six states in a coupla years will be after this guy 2yrs after his retirement. I only assume this because just the other day Cromartie loudly stated "I am the best corner now". Seriously.......can you now understand why I say he'll be hunted for child support in a coupla years, he's apparantly not stable!

How can JJ Theismann T&R be the most populat ? It hasn't been posted to in 2 1/2 hours

He'll be easy to find in jail.

At least it has an NFL team unlike LA.

Yes TR is someone to build around, but the Browns would be better off getting rid of that lard A-S-S Holmgren and then the Browns can start working around TR!!! Holmgren, is a good head coach, but lousy GM and President of a team!!!!
