Ice thinning under Gailey

08:00 AM ET 10.08 | In the 50-plus year history of the Bills franchise, Sunday's 45-3 loss to the 49ers certainly ranked among its low points, and Buffalo is now giving up an average of 35.2 points a game this season. [Head coach] Chan Gailey put the spotlight squarely on himself in the wake of his team's record-breaking failure. "There's obviously something I'm not doing correctly with this football team in the second half," Gailey said. "Because we've been in two games in a row at halftime and have played extremely poorly and that's as nice as you can put it. I have no answer," Gailey said. "I have no answer. I have no excuse. But I have to find the answer. That's my job." If Gailey doesn't find an answer -- and quickly -- it won't be his job.

losing 4 Super Bowls in a row wasn't a lower point?

It's Buffalo. The ice on Lake Erie may be thin now, but it will be thick enough to support B.J. Raji within a month or so.

Losing to the Jets in week 1 wasn't a lower point?

Thinning? Getting anorexic might be a better description except for one minor point, who wants to coach the Bills?

Chan has put the spotlight on himself?........I guess only to you Chan, the spotlight wasn't on you. Thanks for sharin your newfound revelation. Now do somethin about your tragedy in Bills Country! They haven't been the same since that dreaded day in one January no too long ago. Here's a little solice for you Chan and the Bills, there's another team in the northeastern sector who hasn't fared so well either when in comes to the Blue although they somehow always pick themselves up until that is, they face the Giants again.

Wait 'til tomorrow morning:

You don't foresee "Tebow does it again" as a headline, I take it?

The Chan Gailey signing never made any sense. Add in 72 year old GM Buddy Nix, and none of it ever did. Good scouts do not necessarily make good GMs and Gailey recycled? Really? Obviously it is a top to bottom and all assistant coach failure with no end in sight.

Yeah, old Ralph Wilson should stop picking youngsters and go with guys like himself with a bit more maturity.

Chan's been down this road before.

October 8, 2012  09:48 AM ET

When halftime arrived the old coach came inside sayin'
"Fellas, you've put on a good show."
At seven P.M. the whole offence caved in; coach said,
"Fellas, I'm off to Toronto!"
The owner wired in - this team's in a tailspin
and the defence played like they wore Depends.
From the plans that he made and the money he paid
came the wreck of the Ryan Fitzsimmons
