Defiant Richt: 'Georgia is not going to fall apart'

08:14 AM ET 10.08 | After losing to South Carolina on Saturday, Georgia likely has to win out and get some help to defend the SEC East, but Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt remains optimistic. "I'm definitely not losing confidence in this team at all or in our coaching staff or anything like that," [Richt] said Sunday. "That's the worst thing you can do. Teams panic and they tend to fall apart. But Georgia is not going to fall apart. A year ago, we're 0-2 and everybody wants to decide the sky has fallen and it's over for Georgia. But what did we do? We stayed firm; we believed in each other; we kept banging away; we started to win; and before you know it, we won the Eastern Division."

Oh yeah, the polls will definitely be changing in the next few weeks. There are still some big games coming up. USC/Oregon, USC/ND, LSU/South Carolina, LSU/Bama, Florida/South Carolina and Georgia/Florida.

I agree that the Gators are coming on strong, but there is still quite a ways to go, as they still have to play South Carolina, Georgia, (Louisiana-Lafayette, Jacksonville State, LOL), FSU and maybe the SEC CG.
