08:20 AM ET 10.08 | As games have been cancelled and the dollar losses continue to grow, Donald Fehr and Gary Bettman are drawing that much more attention. The belief is not everybody on the NHL's board of governors is happy the league is in the midst of its third lockout in 20 years -- all with Bettman at the helm -- and he's getting some heat to try to find a solution. "My guess is you've got about 10 teams that are pretty nervous right now," said a league insider. ... The insider with knowledge of the bargaining suggested Bettman has the support from the board of governors and those who don't like the idea of the lockout are sitting silent to see if the NHL can get the union to bend. ... The dissenters have no choice.

Time to call a meeting, replace Bettman, negotiate a new deal with the players and BEG the fans forgiveness!!!!!! The fans will be hard pressed to come back with the same train wreck leading the strategy.

Minnesota cause of the bonuses to Suter and Parise the Leafs cause their owners also own Sportsnet and TSN the Jets cause their owner just bought the team so it'd probably force him tom refinance his loans

A video metaphor for the 2012-2013 hockey season.

The story makes sense, I guess. First it says "not everybody etc. etc." Then "Bettman has the support of the board off governors etc. etc." Yeah??? OK, when he doesn't have the support of the board he'll have to settle. If the support disintegrates entirely, he'll get fired. Not a bad outcome.

My guess is all 7 Canadian teams, plus NYR, Philly, Pittsburgh, Caps, B's, Wings, Minny, and maybe the Kings & Sharks are all sweating this for various reasons. The image of a united ownership was probably the result of a much more narrow vote on whether to lock out or not.

I think that's a pretty good guess Danny. I might add the Blackhawks to the list too. Heard on the radio yesterday that the NHL wants to add (expand) to Quebec and another team in Ontario as well. While I think those two areas would be fine, I hope they don't expand, but re-locate to fill those areas if it's true.
