Miami Dolphins invite Rams fans to fill their stadium

07:05 PM ET 10.08 | The Miami Dolphins are a franchise in turmoil. They can't win, their fans hate the front office and ownership, and the stadium sits empty on Sundays. Well, the Dolphins are looking elsewhere to make a dime as they've turned their backs on their own fanbase and are shamelessly peddling unsold tickets to fans of opposing teams visiting Miami. Worse yet, Miami is giving away free Dolphins gear to the opposing fans who buy tickets to fill Sun Life Stadium, thus proving the Miami Dolphins may be the most clueless franchise in all of professional sports.

It's a shame the fans won't come out. Give them a couple years and they will have a decent team. Already have a good defense, juse need some targets for Tannehill.

Guess everyone there is wearing their LeQueen jerseys and thanking God the Mavs let Chandler go...

I wonder why nobody wants to go to a Dolphin Game?

Its like the LA thing. First, they arent very good which doesnt help. Attracting casual fans is tough in South Beach as it is in LA because theres a million other things to do. South Beach is a tourist town. Plus , again they suck.

They beat the Bengals last Sunday. Keep that up and the fans will come back.

Celebrity owners and other gimmicks won't fill seats. Well, the topless cheerleader idea, maybe, but none of this other crap. How about cheap beer? Free parking?

Why is it, that I read that first sentence and thought,"Gee, you could substitute Mets for Dolphins, and that statement would be true also?"

Actually, that should be, first two sentences.

The stadium sits empty on Saturdays as well. Look at the stands when the University of Miami plays there.

Exactly...

Winning fills seats. Prolonged mismanagement does not.

BTW - just look at their schedule. Other than NE, I see a whole lot of games where they may be attempting this ploy again.

I thought the Rams had trouble enough filling their own place?

Fisher has them trinkling in slowly.

Let me re-state the obvious here in Florida, Florida fans are all about the big event . example When Heat were in the finals how many old ladies and men in Hialeah were rattling pots and pans saying "lets go Heat " when in reality none of them could care less or knew any of the players . When Marlins were in the playoffs and World Series You could not find an empty seat in the house but during the regular season they cant even put 10k in the stands. Historically Fla Panthers have horrible attendance when they got in the playoffs this past year the stadium sold out in a few hours to all the playoff games.

The team seems to be heading in the right direction... It'll be funny if this is the franchise that moves to LA and suddenly starts contending again...
