08:16 AM ET 10.09 | A worst-case scenario appears to be unfolding in the case of Green Bay running back Cedric Benson's injury. [Benson] has a Lisfranc foot injury that is expected to sideline him eight weeks and could end his season if doctors determine he needs surgery, two sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Monday night. Benson is scheduled to undergo further evaluation and doctors will be examining the MRI that the running back already has taken, according to sources. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy already had ruled out Benson from Sunday night's game in Houston against the Texans. Benson suffered a sprained left foot early in the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

I wouldn't want to be:

- A defensive back for the Giants
- A running back for the Packers

Maybe TO as a running back? They don't have a lot of options left.

May I recommend a photo of Jen Sterger in a flimsy nightgown to complement this thread, too?

I think I did too.........that is, after rereading your post, my bad!

It's hard to get a good running back and hard to get a good defensive back. And even if you get them, it's hard to keep them healthy. More than any other factor, injuries are what keep great teams from becoming dynasties.

You have GOT to be kidding me??

Benson was getting 3.5 per carry for 71 yards per game--not a lot of slack to pick up.
