Weis giving up on 2012?

08:29 AM ET 10.09 | And along came more grist for the critics of Kansas coach Charlie Weis, who is off to a 1-4 start. [So Weis] is getting his younger players ready ... for the future. That's what the first-year coach said Monday on the Big 12 Conference call, saying, "We practiced without seniors on Sunday. We need to develop younger players for the future." Quickly, those words set off alarms that perhaps Weis has given up on this season -- and his seniors -- with OSU due in Lawrence Saturday. Weis told the Kansas City Star that he'd have done the same if the Jayhawks were 4-1. Maybe Weis is using Sunday -- typically a light workout for teams that practice that day -- to focus on the youngsters. Still, it didn't go over well with critics.

If this game is on the LUS Pick'em list this week, I think I know who I'm taking.
Sorry, Charlie.

Jabba has to be the most overpaid coach in the country. If the Irish are still paying him, he is laughing all the way to the bank.

LMFAO, Florida win a tough game and all of a sudden their #1. The Gators still have to play South Carolina, Georigia, (Louisiana-Lafayette, Jacksonville State, LOL.) and FSU and then maybe a SEC CG. I still don't trhink it's fair that Florida plays two weak OOC games right before playing FSU.

Charlie is a sad example of a man who won't accept his limitations.
He was a winning NFL Offensive Coordinator, one of the best, with the Pats. He is not a college coach, as he proved at ND.
CFB is a different game from the NFL and he doesn't appear to understand the structure and discipline a team of adolescents and young adults needs, as compared to the adults in the NFL.
Thus, he keeps trying, giving up a good gig at Kansas City to go back to college. He isn't accepting his limited talents. He's an NFL Offensive guru, not a college football coach.

USC lost to Stanford!!! Would you call Stanford an inferior team???? Again who is this "WE" you are talking about, is it LSU or Florida??? Don't go breaking your ankle by jumping on and off the LSU bandwagon. :-)

Routers is reporting that it appears that all of the seniors of the Kansas football team have gone missing. Police searched the Kansas locker room only to find empty bottles of BBQ sauce. When questioned about the bottles Weis would only respond by saying "Get in my belly!".

By "giving up on 2012" does that mean the season or his target weight?....
