12:07 PM ET 10.09 | Suspended TCU quarterback might not be in any hurry to return to the gridiron. According to Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro, a former high school teammate, Pachall is looking to get his life back together after his DWI arrest:

Vaccaro said he talked to Pachall Sunday and that Pachall told him that he was going to "take some time off and get everything together." Vaccaro, a senior, was arrested in May outside an Austin nightclub and charged with failure to obey. He said he learned from the experience and expects Pachall to do the same.

Both were coddled out the ying yang in Brownwood growing up. (We were in the same district.) No surprise here. Shipley had a mess to clean up when he arrived in Brownwood.

Vaccaro got the boot from Early HS next door to Brownwood and had to go somewhere in order to play if my memory serves me correctly.

I hope the kid gets his life squared away, but I was happy to see him not play this week against my son's ISU squad. My boy said the team got a hell of a confidence boost after winning that game.
