01:05 PM ET 10.09 | The Los Angeles Lakers may have to play a significant amount of time without reserve forward Jordan Hill. Hill, who earned minutes in the rotation last year after being acquired from the Houston Rockets at the trade deadline, has a herniated disk in his back, according to Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register. Hill will be reevaluated in a week.

No, he's a legit back up. Played well for the Lakers last season and was happy to see him resign. This injury is bad news though.

Not enough info to tell how serious this is. Hill is a young player with a bright future. Hopefully, he bounces back soon.
