02:19 PM ET 10.09 | It should come as no surprise that New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith has turned up playing a prominent role in a music video. He's starring in a new music video called "How Deep Is Your Love," which features Grammy award-winning reggae artist Sean Paul and popular R&B singer Kelly Rowland. Smith, who plays the love interest, said he didn't even have to audition for the role. Smith reported that he spent about six hours filming his role in the video. He came away with a respect for the professionals, "It's hard," he said. "A lot of people underestimate it. Acting is definitely a tough gig to have."

Unlike most of you I don't share your sentiment with regards to J.R., I actully think the guy is talented, he comes very cheap for what does. Knicks fans in particular, complains about the old guys the Knicks signed, "way past their prime" "washed up" "can't get up and down the floor" "some offense, no defense, or vice versa" & why pay 1-3 mil to them"? In JR. you have a guy who's underpaid at 2-3 mil, plays terrific defense, can't go on superstar level scoring spurts, can run with anybody, a bit of a head case though, and at times when the Knicks needs someone to score, its JR, or quite simply when they can't score at all, off the bence comes JR with the second unit and carry the entire team for 5-10 minutes, yet you have these Knicks fans voicing disgrutlement at just about everything the Knicks do, JR & Melo being always the souce of displeasure it seems. Flatly without Smith and Anthony, you have nothing and no chance.
