Is Ronda Rousey headed to the UFC?

06:06 PM ET 10.10 | Ronda Rousey's UFC debut always felt more or less inevitable. But recent developments point to Rousey's UFC debut happening sooner rather than later. Rousey's current home, UFC sister promotion, Strikeforce, continues to battle rumors this week that their TV deal with premium cable channel Showtime is in jeopardy. Add in the fact that UFC president Dana White is an unabashed fan of Rousey's - in a 2012 that has seen the UFC's biggest fights decimated by injury - and it's very possible we could see Rousey grace the world famous Octagon before the year is out.

Who cares... she's gonna get whooped by Cyborg and nobody is gonna care about her anymore...

not likely...cyborg has never fought without being juiced....she's going to lose a LOT of power by trying to train naturally...and she lacks the skill....she wasn't more talented than her opponents, just more aggressive....she just needed to get close enough to start swinging, but against Rousey, getting close enough to strike is all it takes to have Rousey remove your arm....

Cyborg has great jujitsu and there is no way in hell she'll let Rousey catch her with that arm bar... plus Cyborg cutting weight to take on Rousey gives here a HUGE advantage... she won't lose that much power at all now that she's not juicing, just her endurance... Easy win for Cyborg and the legend of Rousey disappears...

cyborg won't be "cutting weight"...she will lose most of it by not juicing....she will lose muscle mass and power...which means that she won't have the power to override Rousey FAR superior training...Cyborg will become another myth exposed for cheating....

Cyborg is the female version of Shane Carwin....except that she had to juice to get the power....but like Carwin, Cyborg's power allowed her to beat people before bad cardio became a problem...Cyborg's power compensated for a lack of actual skill...much like Lesnar...

"great jiu-jitsu"?!?!?!? WTF are you smoking? crack? for the most part, the top athletes in MMA wouldn't make an olympic team for anything they do....they just can't compete with the real pros and Rousey's EXPERT Judo would tear Cyborg's amateur jiu-jitsu apart...

I think you're the one smoking something but to each their own.... I highly doubt Rousey would stand a chance against Cyborg... Her go to move "The dreaded Arm bar" will be negated and what does Rousey have to fall back on??? Nothing... Rousey IMO is overrated and will be exposed if they ever meet up...

Off subject....I think Rousey is mysteriously attractive...can't put my finger on it tho

yeah because of all the other victims have never been trained on how to avoid or escape an armbar while Cyborg has....oh wait, they DID know how and it didn't do any good because Rousey's training is SO FAR beyond these other women...she's taken top grapplers who spent their entire training camp working on avoiding the armbar and she's armbarred them in the first round...if Rousey gets dazed by a strike, she goes into automatic and jacks up her opponent's arm...it's a foregone conclusion just as Anderson Silva beating Bonnar is...just as knowing Sonnen is going to go for a takedown is...

LOL!!! I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree... Don't get me wrong, I see exactly where you're coming from on this.. I just think you're honestly not giving Cyborg enough credit despite her being a juice monkey...
