06:48 PM ET 10.10 | The Longhorns and Buckeyes will meet in 2022 and 2023. Last week, Ohio State AD Gene Smith announced his program will seek to beef up its strength of schedule in the playoff era. Texas fans react:

Two of the most stories programs in college football, the 'Horns and Bucks had never met on the field prior to the showdown in Columbus in 2005 that propelled Vince Young and Texas to the national championship thanks to the incredible grab by wide receiver Limas Sweed and a host of other equally awesome plays. The match up the next season was one of the biggest, pitting the top-ranked Buckeyes and Troy Smith against an overhyped Longhorns team starting baby-faced Colt McCoy in his second college game.

The thought just hit me that the future gridiron stars for both schools are only 10 years old now. Guess I'll have to start scouting those Pee-Wee practices. ;)

My HS Alma Mater was in the same district as the Wampus Cats, so I'm very familar with Leesville. Not a place I would want to live anywhere close to. You know?

I know Leesville only from my time at Folk Polk almost 50 years ago, can't imagine much change.

Next year we finish our h&h with Cal, in 2014 we start a series with VaTech and Cincinnati; In 2015 we play N.C. and finish the series at VaTech. In 2016 we start a h&h with Oklahoma. After that it is Tennessee now Texas... pretty cool
