07:10 PM ET 10.10 | The nation's least Nick Saban-friendly conference shows no signs of slowing down its scoreboard-battering. Here's Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads on the Big 12's scoring requirements:

How many points does it take to win a Big 12 football game? ???Seventy-one points generally,??? ISU football coach Paul Rhoads said. Not only did the response provide another example of the quick wit of Rhoads, but it paid homage to the 70-63 West-Virginia-Baylor game earlier this month.

Fear the No-Huddle Spread.

Saban will agree with you, he doesn't like the no huddle offense!!!

Kudos to Paul Rhoads for building the ISU program and the brand!

That being said, if he builds a defense that can stop those prolific Big 12 offenses he could work his way into the top 10.

Just sayin ...

... because it doesn't fit his paradigm ... his mental model ... his world of reliable images ... or whatever new age term is being used these days.

Big 12 teams need lots and lots of points...

Either that, or they need to put some defenders on the field when the opposing team has the ball. Seriously, has defense been banned in the Big XII?

Yeah, Florida State's game with Clemson was a real defensive struggle.

The disease is spreading. Check out some of the SEC scores. It's shameful and downright embarrassing.

That would be a good remedy, however a good 2-0 game would be better!

Nice cherry-pick.

We currently rank 3rd in the NCAA in total defense, giving up an average of 12.3 points per game. Try again, Doc.

I think if you check the stats, the Cyclones defense is in the top 20 nationally. They have struggled a little on offense, but that seems to be improving. Looking forward to the K-State game!

West Virginia, Okla State or Baylor could all hang 80 on Kansas.

They will all get their shot, so we will see.
