LeBron adds new hook to arsenal

08:07 AM ET 10.11 | Just what LeBron James needs: More weapons. A year ago, LeBron James adopted elements of Hakeem Olajuwon's Dream Shake. This time around, the Miami Heat star forward is implementing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's patented skyhook. And no one in the gym is more ecstatic to see James continue to add to his low-post scoring arsenal than longtime Heat assistant coach and Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo. ... So when a sweat-soaked James spent nearly 30 minutes alone after a recent practice working on his sweeping hook shot, on some levels it was deja vu for McAdoo. "I'll be down here even more this year," James shouted through near exhaustion as he wrapped up the extended workout. "Might as well keep getting more comfortable."

Cant argue with that. I cant wait to see him use it in a game. His player efficiency may go up if that's possible. This guy is a beast.

I like this.....Lebron has changed all the posters from callin him MeBron, LeFake, LeFraud, LeQuit and all of the other foolish and childish nonesense they were callin him. Made the poster take a hard look at themselves and their ways.

Melo will do the same exact thing and you Know who will be estactic....none other than Apple himself. here comes the hate, gott'em the posters steamin and ready to spit the hate at a hi rate. Melo ain't dis and Melo ain't dat, now why would you expect anything else from these cats.

Its the same ole song, cause these posters are never wrong, when it comes to Melo, as it relates, he has'em rile'en wit a mouth full of hate, dame this $hiit never disapates!

LBJ with a hook shot is all the more reason teams need a good defensive center down low.

Joel is good but too short like the rapper.
Pittman is their best hope at that, but I have yet to see him look like he can dominate down low.
Harrellson will likely get a spot as he is just a Troy Murphy's center....can rebound can hit threes and can play inside.
Harrellson and Pittman are the only 2 big body centers they have.

yeah... I didn't see no Hakeem like moves. I saw him run straight at the opponents and draw fouls, every single time... Or if he was tired a pull up from deep make some, miss some... Over and and over again.... No Hakeem and we won't see a Kareem like hook where me-bron backs down, lifts his left leg and extends his right for the sky-hook... I seriously doubt he'll do that.

I saw him own the celtics, I saw him lead the heat to their second title in franchise history and I saw Pierce and co choke again in the playoffs against the same team....
Rondo was brilliant, KG had his moments but that's about it.
I like the additions of the young talent(returning Jeff Green, signing Lee,drafting Fab & Sullinger, and Christmas even got a spot).
But as much as they added, same result come playoff time, Jason Terry or not!

Am good my team are the champs, as much as I love the country of Canada, the only NBA team they have needs to get some relevance back.

Good point.

A mediocre hookshot is a worse option than bulling your way to the basket which he would normally do, so teams should actually be happy about this.
