08:14 AM ET 10.11 | Across three media tour appearances on Wednesday, UCLA coach Ben Howland found a familiar theme. [All] everyone wanted to know was whether freshmen Shabazz Muhammad and Kyle Anderson will be eligible to play this season. At the Southern California annual basketball college coaches luncheon, Howland talked about his four freshmen as a group but did not comment about either player's status. Asked if there is an update on the status of either player, a UCLA official said no. "Shabazz Muhammad wasn't able to make the trip (to China). He had a really rough summer," Howland said. "He sprained his ankle and was out for two months. Everyone knows he's the No. 1 player coming out of the country. It will be fun to work with him."
