08:15 AM ET 10.11 | A special guest will be in attendance for a special program to open the Kentucky basketball season. Karl Towns, the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2015, tweeted Wednesday that he will be in Lexington for Big Blue Madness on Friday. "#BBN. Time to come back and see some old friends. Be there for big blue madness. See u there #kentuckywildcats," he wrote. Towns is already familiar with the area. The 6-foot-11 center from New Jersey was one of the players on the John Calipari-coached Dominican national team that competed for a spot in the Olympics over the summer. That team spent a few days working out in Lexington and later played against Team USA in a nationally televised exhibition game.
