08:22 AM ET 10.11 | Rangers owner Jim Dolan likely is not misinformed, and yet he used the 'S' word. [Here's Dolan] answering a question in Billboard magazine during a music-related interview: "Are you concerned that Barclays might compete with you for bookings? My biggest problem right now is the [NHL] hockey strike, which could put a lot of holes in our calendar. But assuming we have a whole hockey season, we're booked -- we don't have any dates [for 2013]." ... Now, we hate to jump on one word in an interview, but we're going to do it anyway. Jim, if you're reading this, NHL players are not on strike. They are being locked out by the owners. YOU ARE ONE OF THE OWNERS. But you knew that and just misspoke, right?

much ado about nothing. Living here and being a hockey fan, one is already aware of how out of touch the Dolan family is with pretty much anything. Please remember that this is the family that owns Cablevision. But a guy in his position saying "strike" instead of "lockout" is less news than one would hope....especially if they work at T&R and are trying to make stuff up. The guy is a dope, and I guess he indeed, mis-spoke. But Dwafus Horriblilius will not be pleased for sure, since he needs to have this shown as a lockout to appeal to his little manhood, and it has been noted that Dolan may not be a fan of this lockout. (for much ado about nothing, this sure was a long answer, sorry folks)

Seeing as the players and their mouthpiece Donald ("Rex wants me dead") Fehr have not even remotely bargained in good faith, I'd be inclined to say it's a little of both.
And yes I know that technically it's a lockout.

You're either joking, or you're dumber than Dolan.
Either way - the owners initial offer was ridiculous - and until the owners show THEY are willing to give up something - the players have every right to remain steadfast in their position. I usually side with management in these situations - but the problem isn't Fehr. He wasn't around for the first two work stoppages. Gee, I wonder who that could be...
