Wow a new story, pertinent to the race this weekend, and breaking news! (or at least as it can be) Sorry to see him out for the next 2 weeks, but you have to take care of yourself especially with head injuries.

He was pretty well out of contention for the championship anyways.......might as well sit back and get healthy.

Closed head injuries are very dangerous and sometimes the most difficult to diagnois -- the NFL and NHL have set the mark pretty high as to what the course of action should be in these cases ...
Good Luck Jr and come back healthy!!

Pretty surprised that a concussion could occur these days in that cocoon.

Even though the cars are much safer now, the drivers can still get banged around......and Jr already had a concussion from Kansas, so even the slightest bump could make it worse.
He is doing the right thing....he can still come back and get into the 9th or 10th spot.......maybe.....wish him nothing but luck and recovery.

Saw 88's press conference instead.. started 5 weeks ago during tire test at Kansas. As I heard, all medical test were "negative", but he doesn't feel right. Sure we'll hear hours of it on Speed TV.

Actually it's more surprising to me it doesn't happen more, from what we are told. How many other driver are out there driving concussed and don't even know it.

Exactly.
He doesn't have a concussion, he just pissed himself and and he doesn't know how to react since that hasn't happened since he was 20. What a pathetic excuse for a race car driver.
