Rodgers ready to break out

08:05 AM ET 10.12 | Aaron Rodgers may have admitted recently he wasn't at the top of his game, but Ben McAdoo doesn't see what all the fuss is about. "There's no negativity or anything like that," the Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach said. "The guy was over a 100 (passer) rating last week, wasn't he? There are a lot of teams out there that would kill for that. I think our best days are ahead of us on offense." While affirming that Rodgers' play isn't as bad as some may think, McAdoo said Thursday that the Packers quarterback can return to his elite standard. So far, the reigning MVP's play has dropped off. ... Rodgers said Wednesday he's "not far off" from playing the way he's used to.

I loved Ben McAdoo when he played for the Buffalo Braves and the Lakers. Never knew he was a QB coach. Huh.

Packers look very beatable this year. Not just the offense with Rodgers blaming rookies for problems (!) (That's not the way to lead, Aaron.) It's defense. particularly secondary which is exposed as very vulnerable. The D-line helped secondary last year, but the play is up and down: great in the Bears game, not good in the Indy game. Got to think, too, that Seattle game shook confidence. (Pure robbery.) This isn't Pack's year.

Rogers is lacking confidence. His passes are off and he is either not happy with the routes being run, the O line protection, the lack of run support or all of the above. He is being forced to do to much. To much of the success of this team is on his back and that's not fair.
Personally McCarthy has called bad games and used old outdated plays that teams know better than the Packers do.
There just isn't anything new and different. I don't think Rogers even knows what a screen pass is anymore since they don't have one in the playbook.
McCarthy is the problem. He is still trying to pass to get up by 14 then sit back and run the ball to slow the clock. Unfortunately they have no running game because they don't practice running plays that much.

Nail head. Cedric the Non-Entertainer Benson was supposed to be running game and did well in Bears and NO games, but not so much Seattle, got injured and now out. No real running game - Rodgers is next best rusher after Benson - hurts. As for Rodgers carrying the load, he did it last year just isn't up to it this year. Giants game crushed maybe?
