08:06 AM ET 10.12 | The buzzword for Jimmer Fredette this offseason was "aggression." The Kings wanted to see the guard rebound from a rookie season in which he looked timid offensively. But aggression wasn't to be limited to offense, and Fredette has responded, showing more fight on defense at the start of training camp, surprising coaches and teammates. "I want to be able to stay on the floor as much as I can," Fredette said. ... Fredette hasn't reached defensive All-NBA status, but he has improved noticeably from last season, when he took more of a hands-off approach to defense. "He's just overall a better player, and defensive-wise he's a presence," said guard Isaiah Thomas. "He's just not a guy you can just go at."

The issue I would say is are you just a practice player who can stop guys on your team or can you do it 82 games and 25 to 30 minutes. A lot of guys look good in practice and cant translate it over to games but the way this kid shoots I would find some time for him.

They need to find a new city first!!!

Sorry I never thought that the kid would amount to much in the league. A short somewhat unathletic two guard usually doesn't do well. He will have to develop defensively like they are claiming, and garner some point guard skills of some sort and shoot a better % than last season.

It's all about finding the right team. Jimmer Could play the Mike Miller role for the Heat or the Kyle Kover role for the Bulls and not miss a beat.

He would have to shoot better than 38% from the field to play that role for anyone in contention

Kings won't be the worst team in the west this year. Far from the best, but I think they'll make a little jump this season. They have a ton of young talent. Another year or two they could turn into the next Thunder with a couple more young pieces in place. Sadly for Sacramento it will be in another city, also making them similar to the Thunder.
