02:21 PM ET 10.12 | Is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson over his head in the NFL, perhaps literally? NFL analyst Michael Lombardi thinks so, and he shared his thoughts on the rookie quarterback with WEEI in Boston, ahead of the Patriots game in Seattle this week. "[Wilson] can???t really see down the field, and whenever he can???t see clearly, he tends to escape to his right and he probably has more throwaways than any quarterback in the National Football League," Lombardi said. "I think we got caught up with Russell Wilson???s toughness, his leadership, his personality, instead of falling in love and evaluating the player on the field." Wilson actually has nine throwaways, trailing Drew Brees and Michael Vick.

What a waste of time reading this.

Wilson's a winner. How many 6'6", strong armed quarterbacks fall by the wayside every year? The guys that make it are the ones who's strongest attributes are their brains.

Seneca Wallace part II. He's nothing special...

Matt Flynn is sitting on the sidelines counting his Benjamins....

Wilson time seems to be coming to an end. His "intangibles" might not work against balanced teams. Don't know if Flynn is the answer but we'll be seeing him start under center before december I think.

And this is why the Seahawks are not going to be in the playoff hunt... Flynn should've been starting from the get go... Wilson's time is soon over and another wasted season by the seahawks is among us...

The Holmgren legacy is active in Seattle then cause he sure kept SW around in Cleveland, just in case.

Cut him some slack...
He's only a rookie!
All he needs is some platform cleats!

Well, they aren't out of the hunt yet. You are right though that Flynn should have been the QB from the start, and Wilson should have been the QB of the future. He needs more time to develop.

But have you seen Flynn's moustache? Hard to take someone seriously with that sort of facial hair. Maybe Wilson will develop under fire....or else maybe Flynn learns to shave.

I don't know if Russell Wilson is in over his head...

But I do know that Martha Radditz was in way, WAY over her's last night.

Did I miss something ? Isn't he 6'6" ?

October 12, 2012  05:51 PM ET

Ahhh my mistake 5'11"

What evidence is there that Seattle has any viable option after Wilson? Flynn seems to be a total bust. Give the rookie a chance to grow and make a decision on him at the end of the year.

Matt Flynn's 6'2" doesn't seem to be doing much for him.

So "over his head", is that a short joke?

All 3 are similar in stature, if not ability.

Lombardi ought to go back to his Pizza Place in Brooklyn and start hanging out with the bookies again, that's what he's missing, real knowledge of what's happening!! I'll have a Sausage and Mushroom Well Done Please!!!
