GM won't say if Reds offered Dusty Baker new contract

Time for a new skip. One who can not only lead you to the playoffs but through them. Dusty is very good at managing the personalities over a 162 game season but he's an absolutely horrible game tactician. The Reds are good enough to win it all and Dusty is now holding the team back.

The only race that matters here is the pennant race. If your team has the talent to win it, but consistently comes up short you have to make changes.

agreed. again. We probably ate the same breakfast today too.

best thing for baker,,is not the job as a manager or any other type of work, baker needs rest and the best thing he should do is retirement in order to be able to live a little longer!!!

well we have the yanks/tigers/giants/cards/ things are getting interested!!!

Sweet Lou Panella has been seen twitching in the hall ways of Yankee Stadium, now that Giradi has stepped up to the plate, Sweet Lou has too Look at Redder Pastures (as in Cincinnati).

Rooting for Cards/Tigers ...1968 replay....and the two teams with worst records....just make a farce of the 162 games...

Give the man another year Mr. GM because with just four teams in the division nest year the Reds will be the favorites to repeat again.

Walt is one of the best G.M's in all of baseball ... I am pretty sure He will make the right decision. If not , I would like to see Dusty back in Dodger blue . As a life long Dodger fan it was excruciating to watch Mattingly consistently get out managed in close games this year, not to mention his demeanor looked like a guy that didn't have the guts to light some fire in that team when they were having trouble scoring more than 1 run in a ton of games this year.

Duh.

Who makes this stuff up?
