09:42 AM ET 10.13 | The University of Alabama football program is no longer recruiting Spanish Fort High School athlete Deon "D.J." Johnson, multiple sources close to situation have told Tidesports.com. Johnson faces charges stemming from two separate arrests in the month of September. The 19-year-old senior was first arrested on Sept. 6 and charged with second-degree rape and sodomy. He was arrested again on Sept. 26 and charged with first-degree rape. The arrests are for separate incidents. The Rivals.com three-star recruit publicly committed to Alabama during the Crimson Tide's annual A-Day spring scrimmage in April. It is unclear when Alabama cut recruiting ties with the prospect, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound wide receiver.

I'd like to take a moment and point out that it appears the interns have actually found a different pic of Nick Saban. No powder blue leisure suit pic.

What is this world coming to? He only got arrested twice for rape, I guess there's no "Three strikes and you're out" policy at Alabama?

October 13, 2012  11:00 AM ET

I wonder if it was "legitimate rape"???

October 13, 2012  11:02 AM ET

Maybe Saban will offer him a gray shirt I mean a striped shirt.

Arrested, not convicted.Innocent until proven guilty.

Arrested twice. Legally innocent until proven guilty, but the school has every right to discontinue any pursuit of him.
