But No. 17 Stanford -- a team that's had its way with the Irish in the last three meetings -- is no Miami. When a reporter asked Brian Kelly how Cardinal players "try" to intimidate opponents, he quickly jumped in: "They don't try, they do," he said.

Anyone that spreads the field and throws it around doesn't play real football. You can't have any player split out. It's making a travesty of the game to play it that way. Have to stay in tight and go toe to toe...even if your guys are smaller. It's a rule.
