Wild owner may tap investors for more cash

09:01 AM ET 10.14 | Wild owner Craig Leipold in August made a cash call for about $10 million to team investors to pay $10 million bonuses each to free agents Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. Leipold came up with the other $10 million. Now, with the NHL's lockout unsettled, don't be surprised if Leipold hits on his investors -- there are about 10 besides him and Phil Falcone with minority interest -- for another cash call soon.

lmao...should have signed with the Leafs boys...you know, a team with real money.

Oh yeah...I forgot...Say what you want about Burke...but he doesn't sign guys to STUPID 10 year deals. If more GM's and Owners followed his lead, perhaps we would have seen a game last night...other than the Hab & Bruins of 1979.
Well...at least one thing was clear from seeing that game. My pet peev of rink and board advertising proved that without it, a fan had a clearer view of the puck!

Speaking of that 1979 game...it was also clear that any people who still believe that Don Cherry and the "too many men on the ice" penalty in the final few minutes cost the Bruins the game...As Mickey Blue eyes would say, "Fogeddaboudit".
The Habs blasted over 40 shots at the Bruins who barely could even get the puck out of their own zone for the last 2 periods.
It was refreshing to see "The Flower" out there too in his prime. Talk about superstar!
Noticed too, how many of those guys used the backhand shot that today is about as rare as a steak with the horns and tail cut off.

Is it possible for no teams to make the playoffs? ;-)

Basically the last time Rejean Raging Fool Houle and Mario Tremblay did anything positive for hockey and the Canadiens...unless you're an Avalanche fan, then you really love those guys.

A team with real money yeah but no leadership or vision upstairs whatsoever....no leadership on the ice as well.
