Cowboys football IQ questioned

08:03 AM ET 10.15 | Dallas on Sunday compiled 481 total yards -- 227 on the ground -- and didn't win, which is no easy feat. The Cowboys are coached by a Princeton grad, but his team plays sometimes as if it barely finished the seventh grade. As much as his Ivy League education should be a reflection of his own intellect, the way his team plays says something about Jason Garrett. Which is why it does not add up. ... Garrett is not going to pull a Bill Callahan, who is on his staff now, and go on some long-winded diatribe about being the "dumbest team in America". If effort is not the problem, and the coaches and front office people insist this is not a talent issue, then IQ is having its say, too.

The Head IQ comes from Jerrah.

The Ravens just beat them... Plain and simple.

Do they teach their students to tell time at Princeton? Garret seems to have problems managing the clock.

Lots of players don't have football savvy. It's something a guy develops on his own and not something you can really teach. These days, lots of people rely on their talent alone and not the football iq.

Yup. The better team won. The Cowboys really didn't play that bad. They had a chance to win it at the end. You can't cuss a team out over one dropped ball. Up to that point, Dez Seventh-Grade Education Bryant had a pretty good game.

After Dez Bryant caught that last pass with 18 seconds to go....why didn't they rush to line up and spike the ball ...they still had one timeout and could have gotten off another play to get closer for the game winning field goal...

The running game was impressive too... Just when I thought they finally found the formula.

They Probably have one of the worst Coaches in the Game!

Murray got hurt. If he hadn't, the game might have gone the other way.

I'll still take Garrett over 28 coaches in the league right now. Same with Romo. These guys will put it togather eventually and I think the day is closer than you might think. Unless Cowher or Dungy start circulating resume's I don't think Garrett should worry.

Yeah I don't want to hear anymore excuses from the 49er's faithful, or the other posters from this site about how the Giants lucked into a win, all I know is the last two trips there the Giants are 2-0. The last two trips to Green Bay the Giants are 2-0, the last two superbowl against the Patriots the Giants are 2-0. Yeah so much for the elite. Close your mouths will ya, if you can't give respect and credit when its due. The Giants will take it....bank on it.

they have been playing stupid for many years now. this is not a new story!!

Does the IQ deficit start at the top? Hello Jerry!

Lost in the score was the fact the Cowboys ran over, through and around that Ravens defense. They were out muscled by the Cowboys. And at home. The Ravens won the game, but I doubt they are in a hurry to watch the film.

Most rushing yards ever given up by Ravens
