Ohio State QB enters Heisman candidacy

08:18 AM ET 10.15 | Geno Smith didn't much help himself in the Heisman race as West Virginia's offense fell from the mountaintops with a stunning loss over the weekend. A lopsided loss to Texas Tech did nothing for Smith's chances to walk off at season's end with the little bronze man with the stiff-arm. The stunning 49-14 reversal afforded Braxton Miller his chance against Indiana, the traditional doormat of Big Ten football. ... The Buckeyes' unbeaten aspirations survive. The Mountaineers have crumbled. Miller certainly plays no more porous defenses in the Big Ten than Geno Smith does in the Big 12. He won't win the Heisman -- yet -- but he deserves to be in New York at the ceremony to reveal who does.

Strong is already doing it in a BCS conference. Strong is going to jump ship, I just hope it is not Tennessee.

Sumlin and TAMU still have Miss State, LSU, and Bama. It gets tough for them here on out.

The start of the season is obviously too early to be talking about Heismman favorites, when we can see how all of the favorites have already fallen by the wayside.

They need to revisit this issue in about 1 month, when everything has firmed up.

I would have thought that going to Disney from Texas that CA would have been closer.

You do know that when you come to Florida that you automatic become a gator lover and have to drink the koolaid. Either that or a Noles luver or Miami cane.
