08:26 AM ET 10.15 | John Davidson, after a "whirlwind" weekend in Columbus with the Blue Jackets, has returned to St. Louis, where he will contemplate his future. "It was a good weekend," Davidson told The Dispatch [Sunday] via text message. "My wife and I were treated very well. All first class. No decisions yet, as this has been a whirlwind. This will be an important decision for myself, my family and for the Blue Jackets. They have a great set-up there, and we were very impressed with the city." Davidson would not say if the Blue Jackets had extended him a contract offer. This weekend marked the second time the Blue Jackets have had Davidson travel to Columbus for formal meetings.

Is a whirlwind weekend better then a frenzied week ? How does it stack up against a tumultuous season ?

Not an encouraging sign that he's been to visit Columbus twice and still came back to St. Louis without any kind of an agreement in principle.

I doubt it. I would think Columbus would hire volunteers ( parolees? ) for any position.
