Barker is 26 years old, hardly doddering, but he has been with the Blackhawks' organization, Minnesota, Edmonton and now with Dallas. Unless he reinvents himself with the Texas Stars -- gets quicker feet, provides more offensive pop, uses his frame (6'3", 215 pounds) more aggressively -- his North American career may be on life support. Barker is a cautionary tale for all scouts. ... The other [No. 3s] in the last while include Jonathan Toews, Jack Johnson, Nathan Horton and Matt Duchene. Barker has made more than $10 million since his draft year, but now he's on a tryout. That's a major fall from grace.

Same with that Johnson kid..he got traded to Colorado i believe.....just goes to show pro scouts get 'em wrong too....to ME when that happens a player overachieves and scouts believe thats his floor whle it was actually a fluke or abnormality.

What has that Hedman kid done as well ?? He's being paid top dollars ( 4 million per ) and the guy hasnt even topped the 10 goal mark or the 30 point plateau....

Hedman = over-rated.
