02:39 PM ET 10.15 | The deadline for members of the 2009 NBA Draft class to sign early contract extensions is at the end of October, but it looks like the Sacramento Kings will let the deadline pass without giving Tyreke Evans an offer. Here's NBA.com's David Aldridge on the 2009 Rookie of the Year: "Evans has shown flashes in his first three seasons, but not enough to pique Sacramento's interest to give him a deal. The Kings will 'probably not' be offering an extension, a source says."

I'd like to see him leave and enter a different setting and see how he copes and competes. Possibly at the two spot/combo guard where he can attack as opposed to run an offense.

Agreed, I truly hope they let him go or some other team will pick him up. A different environment/different players (maybe some really good veterans who can talk sense into him or help him out)/ new coaches /...

Somebody will pick him up. This could be what finally inpires him to work harder and focus on his game.

He's still pretty young. If the numbers work out well, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Magic jersey.

Yes I actually think that with one or two more veteran leaders in that locker room plus him, they could make a run post Dwight era
