08:08 AM ET 10.16 | Metta World Peace, a year after conceding he was out of shape, has picked up where he left off his encouraging second half. Fast forward to now and the former St. John's product appears to be performing at that same level fans saw during the latter half of last season. He's noticeably slimmer and he's quicker on both offense and defense. "He's been in the best shape that I've seen him since I've been here," [Kobe Bryant] noted. "I haven't seen him in this kind of shape since I faced him when he was in Indiana." ... Through the team's first three preseason games, he's shooting 50 percent from the field and the 3-point line, while chipping in almost 12 points. And he's doing all of it in less than 24 minutes per contest.

Good for Metta. He had his worst year last year. Good that he recognized that and put in the work.

It's good that he is getting in better physical shape, but I think the mental shape he's in is more important.

QUOTE(#2):

Smart move, he's going to be running around a lot on the perimeter and with Nash, fat isn't conducive to playing time

Yup, Nash can even make you loose weight and get into shape.
Is there anything he can't do...well besides get a ring(...yet).
