Roof, Super Bowl for South Florida?

Two thoughts on this:

* The NFL is worried about a wet Super Bowl in Miami in February ... but has no problem playing one in northern New Jersey in the same time frame?

* Other than the Super Bowl and the occassional BCS Championship, when does that stadium fill up? The only thing worse than the Dolphins attendance is that of the Hurricanes.

Of course, maybe the Dolphins saw the sweetheart deal that the Marlins got, and figured they can do the same thing.

They've got to put a team on the field before voters are going to give them that kind of money. Maybe they could call it a soccer stadium and get the large non-Anglo population to push for it.

Governments should never ever ever pay outright for any sports stadium. Period. NFL revenues are beyond belligerent. They can afford to finance any reno they wish to.

Let's see the SB Played in SF!! Might even have 49ers playing in it by then, I would love to see it played in Chicago or Clevland!!!!

tax dollars funding stadiums blows my mind...make the owners pay...if they dont wanna fund the stadiums, sell the team

The words "love to see" and "Cleveland" usually don't go together without the words "burned to the ground" at the end.

If you don't want weather and you don't want injuries, they'd might as well just televise a couple of guys playing Madden, with Beyonce at half time, and call that the Superbowl.

Then I could spend all day cookin' chili and grillin' brats, and forget about watching TV.

I actually fell asleep on that rainy super bowl in '07....

NFL tax exemptions have already made this years fraud and abuse list and is probably headed toward closer scrutiny. Not that anything will come of it except a few more congressmen will get a little more money to keep their mouth shut. Bottom line is billionaires get what they want by paying off greedy corrupt politicians. Florida residents should be happy they are only going to get stuffed for $225 million and not $1 billion. Not a **** thing they can do about it either. Remember this country is not a democracy, it's a republic and always has been.
In short, shut up and pay up little sheep or they will stop fleecing you and send you to slaughter.
