08:10 AM ET 10.17 | Aren't the Hornets set at the three? On the surface, it would appear that players such as Al-Farouq Aminu and rookie Darius Miller would be the team's primary option this season at the small forward position, or even veteran acquisition Ryan Anderson. But Hornets Coach Monty Williams offered an intriguing candidate as a possible part of the position's rotation on Tuesday: Anthony Davis. In saying that no one has yet to step up and dominate the battle for the position, Williams said if the Hornets went to a big lineup, Davis could play the three. "Anthony moreso than Ryan," Williams said. "The more I watch those guys play, Anthony has the skill set where he can play the wing a little bit."

Oh sooooooooo, this is what you drafted Davis for, the three, how ingenius Monty. Damn none of us invisioned this. Don't get me wrong, we all know Davis a shoot from that distance, he can pass, and he can drive to the hoop, but da three Monty?

I'd love to see him try to guard the likes of LBJ or Durant...

he's got a slender type camby body....he's not going to bang underneath but yet come across the lane and help on another man to block shots. 8pts-8brds-2.5blocks a game this season......sure, if you think he can guard a 3 in this league then try it but since he has never played that position then it's a stretch. a sign of good coaching is putting your players in the best position to succeed.

Why not the three? He's same size and build with a more diverse offensive game and better handle than Kevin Garnett at that age. He can also use his quickness and length to terrorize opposing threes. This is actually brilliant.

Young team, young coach...I think it's all rhetoric to give the other coaches things to worry about in their planning. Coach will do the right thing with this team.

Anderson is a gunner. And you'd have to point a gun at him to get him in the paint. He can't defend the 4 so that lineup won't work.

You'd probably have to fire the gun a few times to get him in the paint! LOL...and forget about guarding a 4, he couldnt guard any position on the court. Sure he can shoot the roc but he is totally useless on D...heck, give any NBA player enough 3s and he'll hit
