Surgery likely for Jeter

08:12 AM ET 10.17 | Joe Girardi, with a host of other on-field issues, said Derek Jeter was examined in North Carolina Tuesday, though he stopped short of shedding much light on the captain's next steps after fracturing his left ankle. Jeter went to see ankle and foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C., to explore the possibility of having surgery that would speed up the healing process. Jeter is almost certainly headed for the surgery. Jeter suffered the injury scrambling for a ground ball in Game 1 of the ALCS that ended in a 6-4 loss to the Tigers in 12 innings. The procedure Anderson might perform is similar to the one Dr. Brian Schofield did on Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis' fractured thumb this season.

Its amazing that Jeter has been in NY so long and never really made any of the blunders Afraud seems to do on a weekly basis. Jeters gonna be a HOFer where Afraud wont get there unless he buys a ticket.

Its not just the interviews though. Arod cant blame anyone but himself for this incident with the girls in the crowd while hes been benched for stinking and the **** pics he took in front of the mirror were no ones fault but himself either. The guys a D bag where Jeter isnt sums it all up.
